All seasons! I’ll say it again, these pickled delights are amazing for all seasons! Charcuterie boards, grazing boards, cheese boards whatever you call them these make a great addition.
Or just a healthy snack.
There are a couple variations to the recipe I created that would allow for “spicy” or traditional “pickling spice” flavor.
If you like it spicy, add dried chilis to the recipe below start with 3 and add more next time or take away one if it’s to spicy for you.
If you like pickling spice, add 2tsp. to the recipe below to add additions flavor.
Tools:
2 wide mouth mason jars 16 oz.
knife
cutting board
measuring cup 1/2 cup and 1 cup
Ingredients:
thin green beans from your local farmers market or fresh from grocery store approx 50
fresh dill split between two mason jars
fresh garlic 8 large cloves peeled
black pepper corns 4 T. split between the two mason jars
Method:
Wash and cut ends off green beans if needed
split and add to your jars standing up
Add 1/2 cup filtered cold water to each mason jar
Then add 1-1 1/2 cups of wine vinegar to each jar
Add dill, pepper, and garlic. Screw your lids on and shake up to mix.
Lasts approx 3-4 weeks in refrigerator.
I like to dig in and have a few just for snacking most days…
